Each Frutin tablet contains 200mg of pectin fruit fibres. The superior medical grade pectin in Frutin is present along with the highest quality Norwegian dolomite chalk. This combination means that when Frutin is chewed or dissolved in water, these fruit fibres swell up and form a layer in the upper part of the stomach. This layer protects the mucous membranes around the oesophagus, and the chalk content prevents the acid in the stomach from coming into contact with and irritate the delicate, and often damaged, mucous membranes.
Frutin also contains 800mg of acid-neutralising natural dolomite calcium. This gives the protective layer of pectin a pH-value of above 3.5, scientifically established as the value of acidity which does not cause any problems for damaged mucous membranes.
Frutin does not prevent food passing into the stomach or reduce your ability to digest food.
